omg seriously pads and tampons should be free to all women because it’s not something we want to buy and they’re so ridiculously expensive we’re down like 20 bucks every month which adds to about $240 a year and we have to spend it and guys don’t and it’s not our fault so they should be free
This is serious commentary.
When I entered college and had to start buying my own pads and tampons, I realized how quickly they add up. I have heavy periods, and have to buy a larger amount of super tampons/pads which was more expensive then the small box of lights.
It’s not like I had other options, it was either buy pads and tampons or bleed over all of my clothes.
I eventually ended up buying a divacup, but that too was expensive. I can see how someone with less money than me would not be able to afford to drop all that money at one time, even if it will pay off later.
20 bucks can be a lot when you’re living paycheck to paycheck.
Just another way that society unfairly treats women.
